cambelt stripped teeth
was wondering if anyone could tell me whats the chances of a 2001 1.8 a4 avant not having hit valves when the cambelt stripped cars was doing about 100 km/h and if theres a way of checking it without taking the head off

I'm thinking that to perform a compression test the OP would have to go through the bother of putting a new timing belt on an engine which probably needs major work.

Compression test is not possible without proper alignment of camshaft to crank.
A leak down test is possible but not too many diyers have a leak down tester.
I would remove the valve cover & look for excessive clearance between the cams & the followers , that will be a sure sign of valve damage.
