Control Arm rattling
I have a 98 Audi A4 quattro. A while back I replaced my CV axle cause it was messed up and rattling. I couple weeks after I did that my upper control arms, the ones that hook on the top of the wheel bearing housing, started to rattle. It's gotten worse and they now squeak and rattle a lot. I've noticed it comes from the part of the control arm that actually bolts onto the bearing assembly and that is what squeaks and rattles.
Now, what could be wrong besides having a bad control arm? Could it have been that I didn't install it properly and now it's rattling around? I'm not the most mechanically inclined person around but I can follow a book pretty well. I'm going to try to just pop them out of the housing and slap them back in but I wanted to post here before incase there's something else I can try.
Also, in the end if I need to get a new control arm will I need to realign it if I only replace one?
EDIT: Some more info I should add. I had all the control arms replaced about a year ago. And one of the control arms that is being a problem right now was replaced again because I slid out in snow and bent it all to hell.
