Personally, I wouldn't care if my car came with Navigation. With the proliferation of smart phones and constantly updated navigation that comes automatically with phone app updates, there is no need to spend the extra money on a built in Navigation system in a car. Basically, if you have a smart phone, your car (any car for that matter) has a navigation system in it. However, the anti-cellphone use laws that are cropping up (for good reason) does present a problem. I'm likely going to get a mount of some sort to install in my car to hold my phone as if it were a Tom-Tom or any other GPS device to help me navigate when necessary.

Can't help you on the warranty question as I could never afford an Audi new enough to still be under warranty.

Also newer doesn't necessarily mean better in my book.
