Looking into buying an 00 S4
I was just wondering what are some things i should look out for or ask the dealer about when i go back to check it out again. Or if i should look into a different year, been reading something about 01.5's being better.
It's an 00 S4, with the tiptronic transmission, 54k miles.
O and the dealer is askin 22.8k for it, should i haggle lower, if so how low, and do you need a list of the options on the car?
Or feel free to suggest a different car for me to get(it would be my first car). And for anyone thinking i am a spoiled rich boy, i am not, just for some reason my parents want me to get something new and reliable, i origionaly asked for a 94 eclipse GSX which was bein sold for 5.5k, but for some reason that was outta the question.

that price seems a little steep for a 2000 with that mileage. i only gave a $1000 more than that for my 01 with 27k miles over a year ago. granted it wasnt from a dealer and didnt have any kind of extended warranty on it. i would either be in jail or dead if i had gotten my S4 for my first car so good luck to you.
I just figure it would be a good car, because in a couple months i graduate highschool, plan on going to wyotech, then onto audi academy to be a technician. Get my ASE master certification in auto, while following up with deisel, body, and machinst master certs. Hopefully moving onto lambo by the time i am 30.
or instead of staying a technician, do an electro-mechenical engineering bach program at like RPI while paying my way through with the job.

Back on subject of the s4.
What should i look out for, what should i ask about?
What should be my concerns if i do buy the car after 6 months or so?
I'm not planning on doing any upgrades, don't know how 2 drive manual(though i would like to learn) though i am a lazy person so automatic might just be better for me.
