ive got a 01' s4 with about 75k on it and untill just a few days ago, it was my perfect. now, for some reason, its just not starting. no turn over or nothing, i did a diagnostic on it and it says the solenoid is not performing. ive changed them before but never on a audi. what am i in for and is there anything else i can do while im down there to better the car?

 

have u had you battery checked? i just had the same problem with my 01 s4 and it ended up being the battery being bad cause its a 7yr battery and its 08 so it all made sense .bought a new battery and vuala started right up. u will know by if u jumpstart it and it starts then u shut it off and it dont start right away. its ur battery. keep us posted.

Solenoid... what part would that be lil more detail needed or use a VagCOM

 

i thought the battery was it but nothing.brand new one in the car now and still not a peep. i i did buy a code reader and it says that my torque converter clutch solenoid performance or stuck off, and the bank 1 heater resestance is too high. what does that mean and does it effect the problem with not starting?>
