Default Gas pedal unresponsive ??

Just picked up a 225hp quattro with 6-speed.

35,000 miles, mint condition, certified for $23,500. I think it was a pretty good deal.

Anyhow, I was driving the other day and the gas pedal for some reason became unresponsive, twice. I was in second gear the first time and third the second time it happened. Both times I was at 2500-3000 RPMs.

A friend said maybe the car was sitting around for a couple of days or maybe even weeks in the dealer's warehouse. He said to use up the remaining fuel and re-fuel. Maybe its a fuel issue, or not.

Anyone uncounter anything like this?

first please just use the standerd font/size text.

Our throttle boddies are run by electronic current and not buy a steel wire. I bet since you just bought it you dont have a vagcom cable so youll have to unplug the neg side of the battery for about 10min and when you reattach it go in you car and put and put it in the ON position DO NOT START IT. get out of you car and you should hear a high pitched whine coming from your throttle body, wait till it stops and then start it up and go for a drive. Plus if you car is certified if anything is wrong someone should fix it is something IS wrong.

Did you just put it into gear? Or was this just while you were chilling in 2nd and 3rd?

Throttle unresponsive?

Sounds like it's time to turn up the BOOST!

Oh.. wait.. there's an actual problem. Oh, ok.
Not to entirely threadjack, but since I got that suction hose replaced my car accelerates differently than before.. not good different either. So, what ISthe proper procedure for resetting your ECU exactly?
