Is there a plastic piece on top of the oil tube?
If so, maybe you already have it.
Otherwise, you want to make sure you are getting an acurate measurement.
maybe buy the $3 platic pieceand replace itand see if it seems normal. otherwise, you may have to do the dealer thang.

See my post 5 up. The dipstick guide frequently snaps off. Getting the rest of the old one off is a bit of a pain. You will need to cut it off with a dremel and a cutting wheel.

Well all I see is a metal pipe coming up for the oil pan. No yellow plastic or anything except the stuff that's on the dip stick. Thanks for the help guys.

The the hardest part is done. Just order a new one and the dipstick will measure fine.
