Im considering buying a new A4
Hi, nice forum you got here.
My truck is getting paid off this year (03 tacoma s-runner) and I really want to slip into something new. I was strongly considering the new IS350, but the price is very high and I woul dprobobly end up paying $40K with some options. Also no 6spd.
I am leaning towards the new A4 because it is a good value for this class of car. Also I have never owned an N/A vehicle. My first truck was an 85 toyota pickup with the turbo motor (22RET). My 2nd truck is my s-runner and it is super charged. I am tired of trucks and I really want a sedan. The A4 will have less power then Im used to, but I think after I put in a chip it should be close to my s-runner in speed. Im really looking forward to a nice interior, something Ive never had.
My main concern is that I wont be able to find exactly what I want. Things I must have are: AWD, 2.0T, leather seats, HID's, sport suspension, black on black, sunroof, 6spd.
I dont want navigation or fancy audio system. I live in Honolulu so I dont need navigation. This island isnt very big, I have been to every part of it. And I am gona end up putting in a nice aftermarket sound system later.
Im very interested to hear about the purchasing experience of the 2006 B7 pwners here. Was it hard to find what you wanted? Is it better to special order? What did you end up paying?
Thanks in advance!

RE: Im considering buying a new A4
Hey Jack,
I'm in Oahu as well, and I bought an B7 S4 bout 3 months ago from the Audi dealership...I paid for the S4 basically for $60k and I'm more than happy with it. The A4 selection on stock should be quite good, Id figure...Sweet car and a little easier on the gas compared to mine.
Id suggest getting the A4, I'm sure you'll be getting more Punani as well....

Damn I wish I was back on Oahu. Mean the S4, welcome to the Audi family. Sorry I can't help you out with the questions, but you should be able to find what exactly what you're looking for.
