Angry Camshaft Position Sensor (G40) Open or Short to Plus

hello!

i have a 98 mod. a6 with 2.8 engine and i had the timebelt changed and i get a wagcode
17746 - Camshaft Position Sensor (G40) Open or Short to Plus
P1338 - 35-

the strange thing is that i have used the camshaft alignment tool and the bolt for the crankshaft.. i pop loose the weels and tighten the belt too..
all the parts are brand new too!

what the f... is the problem? i har redone it several times but no luck..

Well try swapping cam sensors to the other side of the engine and see if the code moves. If it doesn't it still has a problem with the timing, take it to a mechanic.

i changed sides on the sensores and the code changed to bank 2.. tnx for the tip dude! (why the f... did i not think of it..)
default sensor.. went to the dealer to day and bought a new one,so i will try to change it to morrow.
