You can also check JHMotorsports.com. They rent tools for $ 200 (160 is deposit) for as long as you need them - at least that was valid for last year. However, I have no idea if they have anything available for the 3.0 engine. It doesn't hurt to give them a call and ask.
(Blauparts is a pretty reputable and serious business. As gaser said it, the rental per-se is $ 45 for 7 days, the rest being deposit. Just keep in mind they send you written instruction with illustrations).
Good luck to you.

Default May be worth a drive, I did...

After spending an hour or 2 on the phone with John, the owner of JA Autowerks in Allentown, NJ, I took a leap of faith on the wing of many others in this forumn and shipped the car in for a visit. This visit was not simple, TB, Valve Cover Gaskets, cam tenininsioner, rear diff fluid top off, turn signal stalk, oil change, coolant change, accesory belt tensioner replacement, spark plugs and a hazard relay replacement.

I rate the service as follows, 10 being best.
Professionalism 10, Trustworthiness 10, Pricing 10, Likeability 10, attention to detail 10, Delivers exactly on time and as commited 10.

Long story short, I have a 2000 A6 2.7T that needs alot of major PM work and alot of catching up from the other minor PM's. I drove 1.5 hours from East Philly because of how professional Johns references were. More importantly, John himself executed the sale flawlessly.

This is a great new shop, please give him a try and pass the experience along.

John is also an active member here in this forum and is located minuits from SeaSide Heights and Point Pleasant. While my car was there, my girlfriend sure did enjoy time on the beach and dinners in return for shutteling me back and forth from Philly. Keep this in mind when beggig for a ride!!

Can hardly wait to cross him on the Interstate...that would make one Audi owner (if he drives Audi) who responds back when you salute them. Likeability 10 - probably that's the key. Unless of course C5-6 owners are too "snobs" to consider C4s "family" anymore... LOL

I actually had a 93 100 and a 95 A6 with 168k when I sold it two years ago. The new owner had it in the shop this week, it needed a brake master cylinder. She is still on the road with 189K.
