HID not working help!
I recently put allroad hid's on my car, I bought them used and had them on my car for a month now . THe bottom tabs were broken so I had to be creative and fix it. After a heavy rain recently they started to fog up due to moisture. So I had a extra pair of factory headlights, I switch all the internals, wire housings etc to the allroad light to the old factory housings cause all tabs were perfect. When I put them on my car the HID's don't come on but the parking lights and High beams will work , but not the Low beam. I checked the bulbs I think their burned out. I guess when the moisture was in the headlights and I heated the lights in the oven to loosen the glue to take the lights apart they blew. I am thinking maybe the ballast, but am not sure. How can I check if the ballast is bad? They both worked fine that day when I drove around. I did the switch same day and put in car the same day and both lights didn't work. I ordered new 6000k HID bulbs hope that does the trick, if not I guess last thing would be the ballast!! Just when I was about to invest in some wheels! .
Picture of the custom Allroad headlights I painted the inner shrouds flat black and switched the outer shrouds with the chrome to give it a whole different look. If anyone is interested I still have the others from the old lights, I'll sell them for a resonable amount? I posted a picture of the extra pair I had also!
