A6 is bigger - in passenger cabin (esp rear seat) and trunk. Given equivalent engines (e.g., 2.7T), A4 will be faster and more nimble. Given A4 1.8T against A6 2.7T or 4.2, I think A6s win. You need to drive both and make your decision. Fun is relative.
