My 2004 A6 with 2.7T lost all coolant yesterday. I am trying to find the leak and need help from anyone who can give me an idea of where it could be coming from. When I put coolant in the reservoir it runs right out of the motor on the right front of the engine above the alternator and I cannot see where exactly it is coming from. It literally runs out like it was coming out of an open petcock so I am hoping it is just a blown hose. I am hoping to get an idea so I do not have to take anything apart I do not have to. This is my wife's DD so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look under the intake manifold for coolant residue. The afterrun coolant pump is under there. Being plastic, it gets brittle from heat cycles and will break.
