RE: Buying a S4
My boyfriend actually purchased his S4 at an auction, it was a beautiful car, and ran fine. The only thing I would make sure of is that the car has no damage, mechanically, interior, exterior, etc. Also, in the winter it was awesome ...while everyone was struggling with snow, sleet, etc, he was cruising along as if it was a sunny afternoon. Im debating between an A6, and an S4, any ideas?? Thanks

Hah yea your absolutley right, at first I was leaning toward the A6... Im actually not even sure why exactly, maybe because I wanted more of the luxry in the back of my mind, but in my opinion the S4 is all the luxury you really need, and with the speed... Speed =

RE: Buying a S4
just for clarity's sake ... we are talking about the B5 S4's, right?
so what you're saying is that they're plagued by the same control arms issues on the regular A4's and Passat's? i thought they were setup a bit different. i guess i was wrong. anyway i read about the defect. are there any upgrades or are you just stuck with the factory parts fro replacement?
finally, are there any other known quirks or Achilles' heels on these S4's?
thanks
