the EPC light has to do with the drive by wire my light was on for the longest time on my A4 I also have the assured warrenty but they replaced the throttle body & gas pedal it was still on after that so they had to get into the wiring and found that it was a pinched wire in the back somewhere

 

hmm.. thats good to know, what code was it throwing? i used vag-com and pulled a few codes, p1128 and p1131 I think.
