Default Swap?

We'll it's ofical beyond the starter being dead i found my car had dumped all its oil on the ground. Then further looking found a big crack in the block. So i got to thinking would it be possible to put the 2.0T FSI in the place of my 1.8T? I know the 20T is drive by wire and some some other things, but would it work?

I've actually wondered about swaps myself. Could one feasibly put a RS4 engine into an A4? I mean modification of course, but would it be worth the effort?

What about a 2.7?

swap threads (especially the 2.7) have been beat on like a red headed step child. do your research. i havent heard of a 2.0 swap done, but im guessing it would almost be cheaper finding a 1.8 and boring it out to 2.0 than putting in an actual 2.0

Sweet thanks for the help. Yea if i put the 2.0l in I'm going to do custom intake in exhaust so i can try to get away with not having to run throttle by wire. Would i be able to run the 2l off my 1.8t ecu with a chip in the ecu?

you need to go to the audizine project forum and spend a few strait hours and read everything. you have so much homework to do before you even pick up a wrench. you need to learn the differences between engine codes and different years. you especially need to figure out exactly which engine you want to put in and make sure that its actually doable first, because what you are talking about doing is not. the first link i gave you discusses why the FSI engine wont work, so you havnt even read the information that is being spoon fed to you yet.
